Teraco’s Cape Town interconnection hubs continue to grow, with Google’s Equiano subsea cable now in service and the 2Africa cable scheduled to go live in 2024. Our clients can now confidently and securely connect to carriers offering Equiano capacity in both the Rondebosch (CT1) and Brackenfell (CT2) data centre facilities.

Teraco’s CT1 and CT2 facilities are more than 30 kilometres apart and on different power grids, allowing infrastructure diversity, providing clients with multiple interconnection options, and ensuring connectivity and power resilience.

Additionally, access to the NAPAfrica Internet Exchange (IXP) and Africa Cloud Exchange (ACX) is available at both Cape Town data centre facilities, providing further redundancy to clients requiring these services.

Access to Equiano and 2Africa capacity, global cloud on-ramps, partners, suppliers, and other ecosystem members ensures that Teraco clients have multiple interconnection options and that valuable data continues to flow through their networks, creating more opportunities for innovation.
