Guaranteed Power

All cabinets are supplied with two independent power circuits from a resilient dual bank of UPSs. Maintenance can be performed at any time on any of the UPSs without service disruption. Multiple power generators ensure that an interruption of the municipal power supply, even combined with component failure, will not affect servers. Teraco’s power rail technology allows customers to remotely manage power down to socket level within their cabinet, and provides detailed measurement and proactive notification of power usage. Advanced Power Factor Correction technology minimizes power loss, which reduces operating costs and the environmental impact of the data centre.

Uncompromised Security

Locating within a Teraco Data Centre provides best practice physical access security for customers’ equipment. Teraco’s buildings have comprehensive perimeter and building security and access into the Data Centre is only possibly after pre–authorization and when accompanied by a Teraco technician. Entry is subject to a closely administered Teraco Access Policy. Continuous video surveillance ensures constant visual monitoring 24x7. All access requires biometric verification and is recorded. Service areas are physically separate and can only be accessed by Teraco personnel. Specific additional Access Policies can be designed for private cage customers.

Advanced Cooling

Teraco makes use of industry leading climate control and air conditioning. Units are run in parallel, leveraging economies of scale, reducing mechanical strain, increasing resilience and reducing power consumption. This energy efficiency reduces the environmental impact and carbon footprint of running a data centre.

Fire Suppression

Smoke and fire detection systems are designed to minimize disruption through accurate, localized detection and extinguishing. Teraco makes use of a highly effective fire suppression gas which is environmentally friendly, does not contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer, is not harmful to humans and does not leave a residue or damage equipment, even after discharge.

Holistic Building Management

A sophisticated, unified building monitoring system ensures that every security-related and environmental aspect is monitored and logged continuously, from equipment access to temperature fluctuations to changes in humidity. All alarms and early warning messages are sent to the central control room and the technicians on duty, as well as to specified client contacts.

Convenient Location
