Through its investment in N+1 resilient infrastructure, Teraco contracts with clients to provide guaranteed levels of uptime, power and service availability as standard. Service Level Agreements contract Teraco to financial penalties for falling outside defined operating or service parameters.
Peer at NAPAfrica
NAPAfrica is a neutral, layer 2 Internet eXchange (IX) point, located in South Africa. NAPAfrica enables the exchange of large volumes of traffic between Network Service Providers (NSPs) via public peering. NSPs include Local and International Carriers, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Application Service Providers (ASPs) and Content Providers, among others. Once connected to NAPAfrica, NSPs negotiate individual and multilateral peering relationships. NAPAfrica peering points are located in Teraco Data Environments data centres in CT1, Rondebosch, Cape Town and JB1, Isando, Johannesburg, South Africa. Instead of costly multiple direct links, a single peering point allows multiple networks to interconnect using a shared switch fabric. This fabric typically takes the form of high end Ethernet switches.
