AfricaINX selects Teraco for colocation
Date: October 23, 2009
SA’s first independent network exchange, AfricaINX, launched this month to provide low cost wholesale local and international services to SA licensed ISPs. AfricaINX is building a fibre ring around Johannesburg and Cape Town with redundant fibre links to London. ISPs will be able to connect to access wholesale rates in more affordable increments, with more options for local peering. The AfricaINX network lands at Teraco Cape Town and Teraco Johannesburg, providing its ISP customers the opportunity to interconnect to the network in the ‘meet me’ room in Teraco’s vendor neutral data centre facilities. AfricaINX further increases the number of carrier options for companies which collocate their equipment within Teraco.
