Corporate Social Investment
Teraco's CSI initiatives have been well received this year, funding two educational organisations in South Africa. First was Love Trust, to their Nokuphila Pre-Primary School initiative, aimed at alleviating poverty through the delivery of quality education - starting with preschool. Then, Teraco contributed to Junior Achievement SA's Education Trust, providing a sponsorship for a Mini-Enterprise Programme run at Ikussa Comprehensive School in Tembisa, Gauteng. To build much needed skills, we like to contribute to educational projects which uplift communities.
The Love Trust
LOVE Trust is a non-profit organization established in early 2009 to serve vulnerable children and communities. The trust grew out of two initiatives in KZN and Gauteng; Lily of the Valley (started in 1993) in KZN is a project for children infected and affected by HIV and AIDS; Christ Church Preparatory School and College (started 1997) now offers quality, independent education to 550 learners from Grade 000 to Grade 12.
